Binge week
We listen to 5 audiobooks in 7 days
This week is binge week in the Pride and prejudice audiobook group. 5 audiobooks in 7 days. This week I am alone in the afternoon with my son, therefore I was aware that I would not have much audiobook time. I therefore decided to listen to audiobooks not longer than 5 hours, otherwise I would not be able to finish 4 audiobooks.
All audiobooks should be by one narrator and I choose Harry Frost.
I have already listen to this audiobook once and liked it very much. Imagine Darcy and Elizabeth find themselves numerous times in a compromising situation and it’s always Mrs Bennet who discovers them - only that the lady is of the opinion that Mr Darcy is to horrible to force Lizzy to merry him. What is a relieve at the beginning becomes a vexing at the end because now Darcy and Elizabeth want to merry ;-)
I already listen to this audiobook by S. Neha. Mrs Bennet dies due to an accident but is not able to leave this world entirely and remains as a ghost. The only person who can see and hear her is Fitzwilliam Darcy. He now needs to help her find rest.
I have already written a review, you can find it here:
This audiobook was new to me. I love Kelly Miller as an author and enjoyed this story very much. Darcy and Elizabeth met while Bingley is purchasing Netherfield. Darcy finds Elizabeth utterly bewitching and therefore decides not to stays with Bingley in Netherfield to avoid her. Naturally he later nevertheless comes to Netherfield and they see each other again.
Play with fire is a frequent re-listen for me. I love the audiobook so very much an find it so funny. The Netherfield party is playacting while Jane is ill at Netherfield. Besides a duel there is also a kissing scene between the characters played by Darcy and Elizabeth. You may imagine that the result is not merely a pack on the cheek but something very different.
This audiobook is also new to me. I had already planed to use it for the challenge, but it also fits into binge week perfectly. After being rejected at Hunsford Darcy comes to the conclusion that everything would be better if he was never born. But is this really the case? I’m looking forward to finishing this audiobook
I did not finish my fife audiobooks in time due to some matters that needed my immediate attention (oh that sounds like something Darcy would say to escape Miss Bingley), but it was, nevertheless, so much fun.
